Promises to Keep

I am in a reflective mood this morning and I feel like writing today. People may have guessed that I write as a hobby; I write to order my thoughts; and I write to relax. Lol I write...that’s what I do. When I write on here...it isn’t as much for you, as it is for me. I don’t expect to sway anyone’s beliefs. And I know very few  people read my blog…and I don’t expect anyone to read it. I just like to write and have a place to keep my thoughts...and it is easy here.   

I am thinking about the election tomorrow. I have been waiting for four years for that day! I am thinking about President Trump and all the different views America holds about him. There has never been a more polarizing figure. That is by design. The Democrat Machine is scared to death of him. I happen to believe he is God’s choice for these last days, we find ourselves.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about him...I believe him to be God’s man for the hour. There is no one else that can do what this man has done. Of course he is not perfect. But there is no other time in history where we ever expected our President to be perfect...no other time...ever! But some how we don’t like President Trump, because he talks like a New Yorker, raised in that environment. Go figure.  Sometimes he talks like a guy in the locker room...well I hate to tell you, but you probably married someone like that; have a friend or brother that has done the very same thing at some point in his life. Ok well "you", don't and I don't.  We rail against Trump, while we talk the same way. Everyone gets to be “born again”, but Donald Trump. Everyone gets time to grow in their faith...except DJT. He has to be perfect...Why? Because the media convinced us of that. Did we do that to Bill Clinton? Nope. Did we do it to JFK, well known for his affairs? Nope. Did we do that to Barack Obama and his radical life style, prior to the Presidency...or even during??? Nope. Do we even do it to Kamala Harris? She is most certainly not without a past!  

Oh, but Donald Trump...he’s icky. The truth is, we are all icky.

Lindsay Graham once lamented...(yes I know, we conservatives don’t like Lindsay, but this truth remains) that people keep saying that they “want Trump’s policies, but they don’t want Trump.” And Lindsay reminds them: “But you *can’t* get Trump’s policies without Trump!” And he is absolutely right. There is no man that has thus far perfected the “Art of the Deal” like Donald J Trump. To do what Trump did during his Presidency, should be appreciated by all of us!! The security and peace he brought alone should be at the forefront of our thanks. And there is no one else who can bring to fruition what he already did, one more time!

It is my belief that God chose this man, because of “the stuff” he is made of. Who else would get up after being shot and yell “fight, fight, fight”? Well, “Bulletproof George Washington” would...that’s the only one I can think of. Who else, the next opportunity he had, would return to that same spot he was shot to finish what he began there? Who else would survive a call for impeachment on day one – 19 minutes after being inaugurated...and thereafter survive the Russia Hoax, two impeachments with an attempt of three, hundreds of lawsuits, false charges of rape, an FBI raid of his home, attacks on his family, betrayal of people once "friends" (like Hillary and Oprah) and on and on and then still want to keep going? I know of no one else like that. Why is he still standing? 

President Trump has just spent almost 60 days without a day off!! Sometimes 3 rallies a day! Who does that??? And still laughing and joking?!!! And looking better than ever!

The strength that this man has, can only come from God. I am not saying he is perfect, but it is a bit frustrating when someone complains about the choice they have in candidates; or uses his character to not vote at all. Kamala’s character is better??? I am not going into her background as a human being! Because I don’t really believe in that, but come on! Just look at her voting record! That is fair game! That in itself is evil! And her flip-flopping and lying about that for which she stands disgusts me the most. No. What disgusts me the most, is her trying to talk like a preacher at a church service and misquoting the Word of God while lying to us about what she is going to do as President. The unity she now momentarily talks about, probably should have started with Joe, when he made that promise as a unifier in 2020. Instead we got names like, Nazi, Hitler, “garbage”, and “anti-American”. Oh...until just the last few days. How dumb do they think we are? I don't want to hear Trump started it. No. He did not. Obama called us "Clingers" who cling to our Bible, God and guns....well that part he got right...but "Clingers"? And truthfully, I have heard Trump call politicians a lot of names...some funny, like "Pencil Neck Shifty Shift", but I have yet to hear him say anything derogatory about US citizens, like Joe and Kamala have. Feel free to correct me if you have.

I watched one of my favorite pastors the other day. He was a bit frustrated with Kamala’s preaching event (in PA, I think) and he basically felt led to point out the problems in what she said at that church service. I believe he was right to do that. The Pastor was kind enough not to mention the phony preacher accent, that she somehow perceived as necessary. But someone most certainly needed to speak the truth about what was clearly wrong about that little sermon of hers. The well-known and popular pastor mostly did a pretty good job. But at the end of his corrections, he stated: “You know what I would do if I was God, I would give us Kamala.” Yikes! Glad he isn’t God! But what he meant was, because a Presidency with Kamala is what we actually deserve, due to the rabid and growing sin in our nation. Yes, it is rampant. We do get the leaders we deserve...that’s Scripture. But I think my favorite pastor forgot a few things, in his frustration, while wishing that kind of judgment on us. Lol (I *do* get it...and yes we absolutely deserve nothing good...especially grace.) 

Yes, our nation is in the worst spiritual condition it has ever been…I truly believe that. BUT, at the same time, in all my years of following politics, since I was a kid of about 9, I have never, ever seen the calls to prayer that we are seeing today. Oh, every election we hear the recitation of 2 Chronicles 7:14 - “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and heal their land.” We are hearing that this time too. And we should! It is of utmost importance, but never have we seen the amount of organized prayer from a multitude of groups like we are seeing this election. I listed some of them in a previous post, and it wasn’t even close to all of them. People ARE praying!!! And I believe God is hearing.

I will even go a step further, (because no one has probably read this far anyway)...and this is simply one of those “ordering my thoughts” missives. I absolutely believe the election was stolen from us last time. I am not talking just about the machines, or the boxes of ballots brought in during the night. We can agree to disagree on that type of steal. But what I am talking about is the absolute unconstitutional changing of election laws in states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia. That is absolutely *fact*! But that discussion will have to be for another post, because this is already getting way too long. Suffice it to say, voting laws *were* unconstitutionally changed using Covid as an excuse, and due to a flat-out desire to defeat Donald Trump. It is Constitutionally mandated for state legislators to be the means in charge of the voting laws of a state. But that isn’t what happened; Judges and Governors were the ones changing election laws at the last minute, because there wasn’t time to do it correctly through legislation and the legislators. I call that cheating. They knew it was wrong.

Anyway, I am a firm believer in God’s sovereignty. I am also a believer in God’s allowance of free-will. I believe that sometimes our free-will is allowed to trump (pardon the word) His perfect will. Our free will is the biggest part of His sovereignty. That’s what love is about; and that is also what prayer is about – to align us with His perfect will.

Let me give you an example. I will try to keep it short (well, because...this is reallllly getting long.) In Joshua 6 and 7, when the Israelites were trying to conquer Jericho, we learn of a man named Achan from the tribe of Judah. Achan was a thief who stole items from Jericho and hid them in his tent. The Israelites were clearly instructed by God, that after a battle they were not to take any plunder; that it belonged to God. Achan decided he would go against God...well because that is what we sometimes do. Long story short, Achan’s sin brought judgment on the whole camp. Israel learned the hard way that sin affects the whole nation. God didn’t just punish Achan for what he had done. He punished the entire camp for what Achan alone had done! It was corruption from “WITHIN”. Imagine that. It happens. Lol  But Achan brought a curse upon the entire nation of Israel. Sound familiar? Even though they defeated Jericho, it ended with the city of Ai (a Canaanite city of Palestine) defeating Israel in a battle where 36 of their soldiers were killed. They were only temporarily defeated, but they lost life and ground. That should sound familiar, too! We also have most certainly been suffering in the last four years to the point of losing lives, unnecessarily. I guess we could ask why God punished the entire nation for just one man’s sin...it’s because it brought a stain against God’s name as they were *His* people. It compromised the holiness of the entire nation! You think we aren’t compromised when we allow and especially vote for the killing of babies? Just a thought we might be wise to consider. Pretty sure that is one thing that should never be justified or rationalized.

Aside from that, I believe what happened to the Israelites in that moment, is exactly what happened to us with the theft of the 2020 election. Our election was stolen from us. And instead we got a man that was clearly not well, with policies that brought God’s judgment on our entire nation. Abortion was allowed up to the moment of birth, with a governor saying; “if the baby is born alive, we will keep the baby comfortable, until the mother decides.” Google it. Former governor of Virginia. Transgenderism exploded, men in women’s sports destroyed sports for women...this from the party that claims to be the best advocate for women’s rights! I know Christians disagree on some of those positions and sometimes they are rationalized. But Scripture is very clear on what God thinks of each of those actions and the rationalization, justification, needs to stop if one believes God’s Word.

Further, under Joe Biden, our own energy production was subverted, while Biden shut down our pipeline and instead purchased oil from our enemies. Our economy tanked and prices skyrocketed from the rise in the price of oil. How dare Kamala blame businesses for price gouging!! A thinking person should ask, “Why didn’t businesses price gouge under Trump when gas was 1.87 a gallon? The truth is Trump had us energy independent. After Biden’s first day, Executive Order, oil prices went up to over $5.00 a gallon in most places. He later used our National Reserves to try to bring down prices just a bit, to look better for the 2022 elections. And apparently we were supposed to be suckers and thank him, forgetting the $1.87 prices under President Trump.

And then Americans were left to die overseas while war broke out because Biden wanted credit for getting us out of Afghanistan. Instead, he has brought us closer to WWWIII with wars in both Ukraine and Gaza. Next there was our betrayal of Israel. Kamala Harris used Obama as her template and totally dissed PM Benjamin Netanyahu when he came to speak to the Joint Session of Congress. We threatened to hold weaponry at Israel’s most critical moment of war! We tried to pressure them into a ceasefire that would lead to their destruction. Thank God for Bibi Netanyahu who was strong enough to stand up to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris!!! But if we treat our greatest ally like that, no wonder we have not received God’s blessings under this administration.

I suppose there are many people that do not understand my strong support of Israel. But the Bible clearly instructs us in Genesis 12:3 – “I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you.” I believe that! And I believe it is not only for nations, but for individuals. So in my private life, I want to support Israel. I believe that verse to be especially true for nations. It is God who created the nations and he did so for His purposes. It is not for me to question that truth. It is up to me to ensure my nation follows that command wherever it is in my ability to do so. Enter: Elect the right President. That’s Trump.

Kamala is out there spewing one speech to Michigan who has a large Muslim population and a completely different speech to Pennsylvania which has a large Jewish population. Even CNN pointed out the hypocrisy in her doing that. But it is a well-known fact that she has always been staunchly against Israel and has instead voted along with "the Squad" (AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and growing) for the policies that hurt Israel.

Personally, I can’t help but feel that God will right that wrong - the stealing of the election from Donald Trump. Yes, he allowed it. Yes, it was for His purposes. But I always felt like God would bless Trump and *us* as a nation due to the pro-Israel policies of DJT, There has never been any President who has done so much for Israel. I think God will reward this:

• Publicly named Jerusalem as the Capitol of Israel

• Moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem

• Got us out of the JCPOA (Iran Nuclear Deal) which was extremely harmful to Israel and dangerous to the entire world. (Biden got us back in)

• Recognized Golan Heights as part of Israel...which it is!

• Abraham Peace Accords

• Trump sided with Israel against the International Criminal Court (ICC) that wanted to investigate alleged Israel war crimes in Gaza and Judea and Samaria

• Stood with Israel against the ridiculous UN Sanctions

• Trump stopped money to UNRWA (of which Hamas is a part) for Palestinians which was hurting Israel.

• Rejected Obama’s claim that Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria are illegal and problematic for peace.

• Trump cut aid to the Palestinian Authority and closed the PLO office in DC.

I list those because I believe that is plenty to gain God's favor. And I am counting on Genesis 12:3, which speaking of Israel states: “I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you.”

What I believe is, Trump’s Presidency was stolen from him in 2020. The attacks against him, were directed at his supporters in the next 4 years, growing exponentially the closer it got to Election 2024. I also believe with the calls for fasting, prayer and repentance along with God’s promise of blessing those that bless Israel, the election this time, will end in a Trump victory and a bit of reprieve for our nation.

I will be accused of placing my hope in Trump, making him an idol or thinking he is perfect. None of that is true. I know fully where our Hope lies. I have no idols and if I were to have one it would not be a political candidate...especially one whose whole life has been so unfairly, barrenly and graphically exposed, compared to those leaders of the past.

I just think based on God's promises, He is going to give us the grace that we so clearly don’t deserve, for a little more time to do what we were supposed to do in the first place, as the Christian nation we were founded. I can't wait until tomorrow. Vote!! It's our responsibility as well as a cherished freedom.

How Should We Vote?

Vote Biblical principles. What does that mean? It means we should vote for candidates that support what the Bible instructs. It doesn't necessarily mean we have to elect a Christian. But a quality candidate should believe our rights come not from government, but from God. In this nation, almost all politicians claim to be Christian, because they know that's what it takes to win in the United States...yes, even still. Why do you think we hear so much talk about God in campaign years? But we cannot always be the judge of a candidate's heart. Instead, by their fruits we will know them... So...we should elect candidates that have a record of, or believe in Biblical standards. 

I want to list some of the guidelines that I feel are important to maintain directives of the Bible. I have given both partial verses and complete verses, but I have also given the text so that the reader can look them up for himself. 

While there are the obvious social issues that should require a Biblical vote, such as the right to life, traditional marriage, and even support of Israel, I want to cover a few more policies that may seem like something outside of a Biblical command – like whether we should have open borders. Nope. The Bible is very clear on that too. These are not simply my opinions and I hope to demonstrate that by backing all of this with Scripture. I will begin with the obvious, and well-known moral subjects, then move into some topics we may not consider Biblical at first appearance. Here we go:

These are the topics I believe to be a Biblical perspective that requires our candidates support. They are not listed in any particular order.

>Pray first – Ask for God’s guidance and that He will reveal His will to you. There are so many verses about prayer. Every Christian knows we are instructed to pray about everything and constantly. I will choose just a few verses:

• 1 Thessalonians 5:16 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. And as well:

• 1Timothy 2:1-2 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

• 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

>Understand our rights are God given. – Our Founders believed our rights were given to us not by the government, but by God! From Genesis 1:27, the Founders understood that we are made in the image of God. From that knowledge, they believed that our rights are inherent to our humanity. That is no slight thing. We were the only nation to believe, understand, and enact that concept. The fact that our rights come from God rather than government ensures the freedom that God desired and planned for us! The entire Bible, (but specifically Galatians) demonstrates that freedom, equality, and dignity are bestowed on every human being, expressly by virtue of the fact that we are humans created in His image. Paul reminds us in Galatians (Chapters 3 through 5, really) that our rights are ordained by God and not earned by our own actions. The Founders knew this and based the forming of our union and the Constitution upon this knowledge. If our rights come from God, the Founders knew they could never be taken away – “unalienable rights”.

• Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

• Galatians 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

• Romans 13:1 For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

1. Pro-life! – Honor life! That includes from the unborn to the very eldest among us.

• Psalm 139:13 “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”

• Jeremiah 1:5-7... “I knew you before you were in your mother's womb.”

• Luke 17:2 “It is better a millstone was around their neck and dropped to the bottom of the sea than to hurt one of these little ones!”

There is no such thing as a “woman’s right to choose”. That is leftist double-speak for allowing murder. If you vote for a pro-abortion candidate, you are voting to allow abortion and God will not accept excuses for the easy way out. 

Too, at one point we believed abortion would never go beyond the first trimester. It is now gone so far beyond, it is incomprehensible! With the former governor of VA stating in the case of a botched abortion, “we will make the baby comfortable until the mother decides”, we are growing desensitized to infanticide. But then, in my view, every stage of abortion is infanticide. Now, with the sliding-into-the toilet slippery slope, some states allow abortion up to the moment of birth. It is always just one step at a time down the slippery slope.

2. Biblical Marriage – We should vote for someone who supports Biblical marriage and will not support a distortion of that union in any form. Male and female he created them. These verses also speak to the transgender issues becoming so prevalent due to media coverage. We should not deviate or mess with what God created. Plus marriage is an example of God’s union with us - His bride! How dare we defile that when His word is so clear on the matter.

• Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

• Genesis 2:18 “Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.'"

• Genesis 2:22-24 "And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man....and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh."

• Genesis 5:2 “Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.”

• Leviticus 18:22 “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination”

• Matthew 19:4-6 – Jesus answered, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginningmade them male and female, and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?' So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate." 

• 1 Corinthians 7:2–5 – One husband and one wife

• Hebrews 13:4 – Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

We must vote for pro-marriage and pro-family candidates. A healthy family is the foundation of a strong nation. God created marriage and designed it to be one man and one woman. Anything else is counterfeit. Satan is the Counterfeit-in-Chief.

3. Support Israel – The Jews are God's chosen people for a reason. God's people were chosen for His purposes. They were not chosen because they were without sin! But we are to support them because they are God's people and His chosen nation. They are a witness to the world and through them the Bible was preserved and the Messiah came. Speaking of Israel:

• Genesis 12:3 God states: "I will bless those that bless you and curse those who curse you." I'd say that's pretty clear. 

As well, Israel is God’s time clock and a powerful witnessing tool! We can know we are in the end times as we watch the prophecy about Israel fulfilled being shared across the headlines of the day. I believe this to be God’s foremost intent. It is about the entire world revealed through the nation of Israel.

• Psalm 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.”

4. Freedom of Speech! – Vote for someone who believes in freedom! We need someone that understands the corruption that is endangering our right to say and defend what we believe. We are in danger of the nanny state when our voices are silenced by a biased media or a government that believes they know best and must silence what citizens say.

• Acts 4:18-20 “So they called them and charged them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered them, ‘Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard’”.

5. Religious Freedom – Vote for someone who will work to protect our religious freedom and understand that there are threats against it! We must preserve our freedom to fulfill the Great Commission! If we don’t stand for religious freedom, and really all of our freedoms, we risk losing this ability. If we do not protect free speech, we also stand to lose this ability to share this most important of all mandates – the Gospel.

• Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

• Acts 4:18-20 “So they called them and charged them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered them, ‘Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard’”.

• Acts 5:28-29...we ought to obey God rather than men.

6. Pro 2nd Amendment Our leaders must support our right to defend ourselves from enemies foreign and domestic. As well, we must maintain the ability to keep our homes safe from intruders.

• Luke 22:35-38 "Then Jesus asked them, 'When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?' “Nothing,” they answered. He said to them, .But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.'” 

You will be hard-pressed to find commentary, today, that explains this verse as Jesus offering a means of protection. People try to distort the meaning of this verse; but it is clear. Older commentaries explain it in its obvious context. These verses were a change of instruction from Luke 9:3 where Jesus told the disciples to bring nothing with them on their travels. But in these verses Jesus clearly makes mention of a sword, which pointed to the trials they were sure to face. Perhaps, it is a picture of "peace through strength". Regardless, there are multiple examples in Scripture where we are shown it is perfectly acceptable to defend ourselves. (See “Strong Defense”, add David against Goliath for another.)

7. Strong Defense – Vote for someone who will defend our nation. That is the job of government! This takes “peace through strength”. We need a strong military for that. This understandably will be controversial, so I will go into a bit more information with this...and there are many examples in Scripture! Soldiers are used and highly respected throughout Scripture as a necessary force. God sent Joshua to battle. Joshua was to fight at Jericho because they were an ungodly nation living within the area God had chosen for His people! Evil cannot be allowed to stand, or the evil will overtake all that is righteous and holy. (think America) Verses about Jericho – Joshua 6. Verses about fighting in Ai – Joshua 8. There are many additional verses that support a strong defense to protect one’s nation and beliefs.

• Deuteronomy 9:5; ...that he may perform the word which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

• Deuteronomy 20:17; “But thou shalt utterly destroy them... as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee”

• 2 Samuel 5:17–25 “And David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.”

• Joshua 6 and 8 (above)

• John 15:13; Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

• Ecclesiastes 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

• Deuteronomy 20:1-4 “When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people and shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’

• Psalm 144:1 Of David. Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle

God is definitely not anti-war, as long as it is for a righteous cause.

8. National Security at Home

• Nehemiah 4:8-9 “And they all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it. (think America now) And we prayed to our God and set a guard as a protection against them day and night”. 

Wow! Do you think we are seeing that? I surely think so!

• Romans 13:3-4 – In context speaking of governments: “For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.”

• 1 Timothy 2: 1-2 "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

9. Strong Borders! Vote for someone who will defend our boundaries and understand the importance of them. It was God who created the nations for His purposes and intents. All throughout Scripture we see the importance to God of nations and boundaries. Boundaries are clearly outlined in Scripture. God told Abraham he would be the “father of many nations”. Sometimes, as in the case of Paul, God told someone not to cross a boundary.

• Acts 17:24-26 – God that made the world and all things therein...And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

• Genesis 11:1-9 The tower of Babel was to divide the people… “and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.”

God is the author of nations. He created the borders. We need to respect that.

10. America First! We are to take care of our own first! Yes we are to care for others, but we are to take care of ourselves first. We can't help the world if we are overburdened and in decline ourselves.

• 1 Timothy 5:8 "But if any man have not care of his own and especially of those of his house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel."

• Galatians 4:10 “Be good to all...especially those of the household of faith.”

11. Work! Vote for those who believe in work and will work aggressively to stop unemployment. Welfare may be necessary at times, but it is never the answer for a lifetime. Welfare is actually socialism and the Bible does not support that. God is NOT a socialist regardless of what the left may want to portray! It may sound compassionate, but to keep someone bound to the government is dangerous. Look at how quickly Venezuela declined. We need to understand that can happen here just as quickly

• 2 Thessalonians 3:10-13 If a man doesn't work neither should he eat. He who will not work shall not eat! 

They tried this in Jamestown in 1620. It did NOT work! Work heartily as for the Lord...not asking for handouts.

• Colossians 3:23–24 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men".

12. Follow the Rule of Law – We must follow the laws already in place. As one example, no one gets to allow people to cross our border at will. That's breaking the law. And there are plenty of laws in place that are being broken regarding this. Neither is what is taking place at the border compassion – the Democrats' favorite excuse! 

The open border is endangering lives of those in this nation, as well as the lives of those coming illegally! We are to vote for someone who respects the rule of law; not someone who tries to circumvent it. We are to submit to authority not only to avoid punishment, but because of conscience.

• Romans 13:5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

13. Respect the Constitution – Our Constitution is slowly being questioned and undermined. We will not survive the disrespect for our guiding principles as laid out by our Founding Fathers. This document clearly comes from God written by men that relied on His guidance.

• Romans 13:1-2 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

• 1 Peter 2:13 "Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them..."

• Titus 3:1 Obey magistrates... 

We are to have and respect a rule if law... there is no way around that. There can be no erosion of that fact without dangerous consequences

14. Role of Government The chief role of government is to protect its citizens. Safety and security are paramount, as well as protecting our freedoms. But we must never forget though we the people are in charge, we are to live respectfully and peaceably with all men and strive to live in accordance with the rule of law. Anything else would be anarchy.

15. Be good stewards of all God has given us. Church, families, nation, community, and yes earth...but we have dominion over the earth, not the other way around. Genesis 1:26-28

• Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

• Genesis 2:15 “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” 

• Colossians 3:23 "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;"

• 1 Corinthians 4:2 "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."

• Titus 1:7 "In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,"

We are living in a very dark time. Corruption and deceit abounds like never before. I won’t sugar coat any of this like so many other articles on the subject have. I cannot pretend one party aligns as equally as the other when it comes to Biblical values. One party voted God out of their platform at their convention in 2012. The parties and candidates have become as different as black and white, night and day, good and evil. It is time to speak up and quit pretending. If someone doesn’t see it, I recommend digging just a bit deeper into the candidate you think you trust. Media cannot be trusted. Go to the source; voting records; statements outside of media; and then base your decision on the Word of God.

In summary, we need to vote for the candidate that most closely aligns with these principles and our own convictions as Christians. And we absolutely must be informed, pray and stay active in the voting process. Stay in the Word of God and use it as the foremost source to find the direction our nation should take. Because we are being intentionally deceived. It is time to strive for leaders that exemplify character and integrity.

>There is no such thing as global warming. This is a fear tactic of the left. Yes, we need to take care of our earth and environment, but not in fear or to the degree that we are choosing it over people. In Him all things consist and He holds all things together with His hand. This is not the way this earth ends. (See Ezekiel 38 and 39, Daniel 11; and Revelation) 

• Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

>Forgiving Debt. The power of the purse is controlled by Congress; not the President. No single person gets to determine if a debt will be forgiven... that's up to Congress. Biden unconstitutionally acted when he promised to wave student loans. Harris is unconstitutionally promising 25,000 to new home-buyers. They are trying to buy votes. They knew and continue to know it will not happen.

• Leviticus 19:33-34 "When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God". 

But what is happening at our border is definitely not compassionate. Women and kids are being raped, trafficked and murdered. Death is rampant as illegals make the dangerous journey; and our citizens that live at the border are also put in danger. If you see that as compassionate, I have a bridge to sell you… Wake up!

Just think rather then the leader only listens to the lies, but rather, is actually the one spreading the lies!

Lies, Lies and More Lies - Rehashing the June Debate

While the first thing Jill Biden did after the Presidential debate is to claim “Trump lied”, the truth is Joe’s comments started with lies and continued through out his abysmal debate performance. I actually tried to count the lies and record them, but there were so many, I couldn’t keep up and I was losing the opportunity to hear how Trump responded. We have all lived it the last four years, so we should know them all by heart, anyway.  

I have become so weary of seeing the misinformation, disinformation, spin...whatever one wants to call it - I call it "lies" - that I decided I wanted to share a few of Biden’s most egregious accusations and distortions. I am not sure all of what I have listed here, were mentioned in the debate; but we have been living with them for way too long now; too often in silence.

• The debate started with lies about the economy, with Joe claiming success and stating he had inherited a mess. This is simply not true. Inflation was 1.4% under President Trump when Biden took office and rose to 9% (a high of four decades!) in 2022 during BIDEN’s term, not Trump’s. ¹

• Biden cannot take credit for creating jobs, when he came into office and everyone was out of work because of the pandemic. One doesn't get to take credit for jobs already there, and to which people simply returned. He unnecessarily inflicted shutdowns and mandates upon us for way too long! Under Trump, unemployment declined from 4.7% to as low as 3.5% in late 2019 and early 2020. This was its lowest level since 1969!² And further, black unemployment rate was the lowest rate it has ever been. His rating among blacks increased and is growing.

• Notice the debate hosts didn’t ask about fuel prices. Or did I miss that? Fuel was under $2.00 a gallon with President Trump in office, and up to $5.00 plus, in some places with Biden.³ Biden stupidly used our oil reserves to make it look like he was bringing down oil prices. Through Executive Order, he stopped everything in his first days in office that had helped make us energy independent under Trump. That should tell us everything we need to know. Who's the dictator?

• Trump’s tax cuts spurred the economy and Biden continually lies about the cuts only helping “the rich”. Obviously he doesn’t understand economics.

• Trump did not say neo-Nazis are “very fine people” at his Charleston speech.⁴ This blatant lie has finally been debunked by MSM, (Main Stream Media) but those of us who follow less liberal news networks, knew the truth from the onset; because we saw the video that MSM refused to air. Biden still regurgitated this falsehood in his debate comments! It had been reported that he was advised not to bring up this narrative because so many MSM outlets had finally debunked this dangerous, but effective lie. Obviously, Biden didn’t remember the memo to not mention Charleston and he talked about it anyway. Even Jake Tapper had admitted and reported the fact that the Charleston narrative was simply not true, which is just another reason why Biden should never have regurgitated the lie.⁵

• “Trump cages”. Those were OBAMA’s cages. Everyone should know and remember those cages started under Obama.⁶ Do they think we have forgotten? Further, under Biden, the use of cages has drastically grown among many other terribly dangerous border disasters through Biden's disastrous policies.⁷

• Trump NEVER said our military or veterans were “suckers and losers”. This lie stems from an article written in the Atlantic newspaper in 2020. But the article named no sources or even the name of a single witness.⁸ The lie continued to grow with MSM refusing to mention that this statement has been negated with testimony from 19 trustworthy individuals. The truth is Trump’s actions speak louder than words, in the first place! Because of the way he treats our military and veterans, they know; and they return honor and respect with the same! Trump did tremendous things for our military and veterans while in office. He rebuilt the military Obama had destroyed, and Trump reworked VA with the best and most efficient care that we have seen since my husband (personally) started utilizing VA benefits. Veterans were struggling with getting care under Obama, with long waiting lines, many even dying while they waited. How can we not remember that?

• Trump did not say “inject yourself with bleach” during the pandemic.⁹ If anyone believes that lie, they need to have a talk with themselves. Trump’s words were intentionally taken totally out of context and manipulated to make him look like a nut case. He was talking about the use of bleach and UV light on counter-tops and other surfaces. Good grief! How easily are we manipulated to believe what someone wants us to believe!!! The video was once available in full context to disprove this lie. He asked questions as a wise leader will. Please read about the full incident at the link I have provided. (Footnote 9)

• Trump did not make fun of anyone with a physical or mental disability. The video used to create this lie was totally taken out of context and manipulated...you know “fake news”, “deep fake”, “cheap fake”...which they now accuse the right of doing, but they have done for four long, painful years. Projection! They took a video of Trump using his hand in a gesture he has long been known to use when using his hands to express himself in conversation.¹⁰ It was taken and used out of context! This supposedly took place in November of 2015. This goes to show the left was after him since the day he announced his run. Personally, that they even thought this through to create a story like that, says far more about lame-stream medial than it does about DJT. Prager U discusses it here: 

• Oh! And “Russia Collusion” was also proven false over and over and over.

• Then there is the favorite accusation that "Trump is a racist." It seems this is the most used slander of all of them. They use it for literally everything - even making his followers guilty by association! No. Anyone that will be truthful to themselves, knows this is not true. Everyone from every race loved him, invited him to weddings, couldn't wait to be photographed with him, and did business with him...that is, until he announced for Presidency. The truth is he has never shown any racism whatsoever to any race appointing a variety of people to cabinet positions and beyond.

• PM Bibi Netanyahu did NOT endorse Biden’s plan for Gaza, but rather diplomatically (because that’s what good leaders do) stated Israel would handle the war as they deemed necessary to protect their nation!¹¹ Biden's "plan" put horrible, unnecessary pressure on Netanyahu and the nation of Israel; and IMHO, the context of Biden's claim during the debate is diabolically untrue. Instead Netanyahu has maintained that "'The war will be stopped for the purpose of returning hostages and then we will proceed with further discussions,’ Mencer quoted the prime minister as saying. ‘There are other details that the U.S. president did not present to the public.’” ¹²

• The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will continue operations” in Rafah, regardless of the dangerous pressure campaign from Joe Biden! Israel will FINISH this war even though Hamas is the one that started it! And God will be with them. Zechariah 14:11.¹³ It’s Biblical. Jerusalem is the eternal capitol of Israel. Again, Joe is the one acting like a dictator, when he unconstitutionally withheld arms from Israel, when Congress had passed legislation to send them.

• The Border Patrol NEVER endorsed Joe Biden as he claimed, even releasing a statement DURING the debate, because the comment that Biden made was that important to refute!!!¹⁴ Biden also stated there is 40% fewer illegals coming across our border under him. In whose world??? Tom Homan, former Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and who has been at the border for decades said the crisis was never better handled than under Trump and never worse than under Joe Biden!¹⁵ You can watch that statement here. And here.  It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out if anyone is paying even the slightest attention to what is taking place in cities across America. “We have all become a border state” is the flat-out truth!

• I am still shaking my head over the threats that say Trump will become a dictator; that he even admitted that fact himself, saying: "[He] would become a dictator on day 1." Oh good grief! No! What he said, when asked by a reporter, (almost mocking the question) was, "I will be a dictator for one day, on the first day, when I will rescind every. single, one of Joe Biden's Executive Orders." (paraphrase, but close enough!) Those Executive Orders, were in fact, what made Joe Biden the dictator wannabe!

• Oh my gosh! Biden took credit for lowering the cost of insulin. Everyone should remember when that took place under the Trump administration.¹⁶ But aside from that, the bigger issue is Obamacare (or the Affordable Care Act) that has dramatically hurt Americans and the medical industry since day one of its inception.

• The worst lie of all for me, was when Biden said no troops have died under his leadership! There was absolutely no acknowledgment from him of the 13 troops killed in Afghanistan, not to mention all the people and billions of dollars of equipment left behind there!!¹⁷ Say their names!!!¹⁸ We are on the verge of WWIII thanks to Joe Biden, with wars across the globe! Specifically Ukraine and Israel, as the most notable. Iran has once again been empowered by the Biden Administration, just as they were under Obama! No wars were started under Trump, and Russia did not even try to take more land as Putin absolutely did under both Obama and Joe...and that’s a fact.

• MSM, as well as the January 6^th Committee, intentionally left out Trump’s statement of “I know you are going to walk peacefully and patriotically over to the Capitol.” Liz Cheney, and the January 6^th Committee intentionally did not allow in testimony, the complete video with that statement. And the MSM, though they were well aware of the full comment in his “Front Lawn” speech, totally left that part out with zero coverage of that statement. Here is how it was generally portrayed in MSM.  This is what he really said.  I watched it in real time. I knew the truth from day one, as anyone did who is not locked into MSM. Anyone who watches media from sources other than MSM, knew full well what he said and his intent. I was shocked by the number of my friends who had never heard that part of the speech. And yes, I will criticize “Republicans” when they are wrong - Liz Cheney could not be more wrong!

• Trump, asked for 10,000 to 20,000 troops before January 6^th, simply because he was aware of the crowd that would be there that day.¹⁹ No, duh! Heck! Everyone should have known! I certainly did! Muriel Bowser and Nancy Pelosi who were the ones that needed to okay and facilitate the order, turned down the offer Trump made. And again, in order to not show favor on my part, I will note a Republican, Liz Cheney, purposefully left out this fact from the January 6^th hearing, as well.²⁰ Nancy Pelosi, finally admitted that she was responsible for the protection of the Capitol...albeit, way too late!!²¹ And trust me, you will have to really work at getting around the false narrative when using Google to find the info. The left has control of all media and they will add their links first to the narrative they want us to hear. The fact is, she finally admitted it in testimony and you can read about that from a reliable source in the link I have provided. (Footnote 21)

• Trump had no intentions of “overturning the election”, which was the phrase repeatedly used (even by conservative media) as if he tried in some illegitimate means. Trump only wanted the slates to be contested, which is absolutely Constitutional and which the Democrats have also done in the past, for finalization of election results. It only takes one member from each branch of Congress to start this process. What REALLY resulted from the January 6^th fiasco, was this procedure was prevented from taking place. Who benefited from that mess?? Democrats did! Because our concerns did not have a chance to be heard! And yes, Mike Pence messed this up! Because he had a plane to catch. I think in his mind, he was done with his job and couldn’t wait to get outta there! (See, I told you, I know how to blame Republicans too.) It is easily provable that Democrats did in fact use this election process provided for under the 12^th Amendment, even as late as 2016. It is standard procedure. Republicans (America really, because look where we have ended up!) were not only robbed of the election by a number of methods that allowed a cheat to take place, (from fake ballots; to closed doors due to plumbing; to more importantly, illegal practices across several states to unconstitutionally changing election law; and then the riots!) we were robbed of our right to contest the slate of electors. If Al Gore, Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams can still whine about being cheated, all these years later, than even more can we!! Because there has never been a more thorough and diabolical cheat!

• As far as Trump saying "our nation is in decline"...what the heck would you call it??? Of course we love and are proud of America; but this is NOT the America we grew up in and it is my view, we will NEVER survive another government controlled by Democrats...at least until the Dems get their party figured out...but that does not seem to be their agenda. We all should understand what MAGA means after living through the last four years!

I know there is so much I have left out of my post. How does one cover it all? Those of us who watch media outside of MSM or in real time, have always known the truth. We were not surprised by Biden's debate performance, because we have been watching the exact same cognitive level for four long years!!  We have been trying to sound the alarm! Not in hate or disdain, but out of concern and yes even fear for our nation!! Because we have been watching the destruction of America, whether we want to admit it or not....and whether we offend someone or not, we must sound the alarm. We are there; there is no backing down from truth at this point in our history.

There. I feel much better now. I simply cannot let lies stand without response. No one should.
