Subtle Messages

This President loves to send little, subtle messages through certain methods, and actions that might be missed by most citizens, but which hits right between the eyes of his intended target.

Case in point would be his nomination of Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense. Now, it is clearly apparent by the confirmation hearings, that Chuck Hagel is distinctly unqualified for the position he was nominated. Further clear, revealed by his voting record during his time in the Senate, he is - as Lindsey Graham recently stated - the most antagonistic senator to our ally, Israel, in the history of our nation.

There can be no other reason Obama nominated Hagel than to send a message to Israel and their leader, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that we really do not have their best interest in mind. As someone I know recently stated, “Through this nomination, it is like he is literally thumbing his nose at Israel.”  Just to explain the extremity of this nomination, Hagel is a man that believes Iran can be trusted, but Israel cannot.

Another example of the method of sending messages to those Obama hopes to target would be when he left Bibi Netanyahu alone for dinner when this strong Prime Minister of Israel wouldn’t give into Obama’s demands.

Sending fighter jets and tanks to Egypt which is now led by Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamad Morsi would be a not so subtle example of disregard for Israel.

Now I know most of those examples are in regard to our relationship with Israel, but President Obama does this in regard to a lot more than just Israel. The most recent example that I believe Obama chose to target is in regard to two great American heroes.

Recently, we lost a brave American patriot.  Chief Chris Kyle - the most lethal sniper in American history - was gunned down as he tried to help a fellow veteran that suffered from PTSD.  Any comment or degree of honor from our Commander-in-Chief was notably missing. No call to fly flags at half-staff as would be the norm when we have lost someone of this caliber. It is a flat-out shame.  But I believe, without a doubt, it was because Chris Kyle understood the enemy and wasn’t afraid to say so.  Chris Kyle knew where this administration has let us down and wasn’t afraid to acknowledge that. Chief Kyle wasn’t afraid to call an act of treason, exactly what it was.

Kyle’s funeral came and went without a word from this administration.  What I found interesting is a subtle act from Obama that I believe was without a doubt intentional. It was political posturing to make himself look better and take the focus off his negligent action of ignoring Chief Kyle. It was a way to take the attention off of his blatant disregard for this American hero even though it would not go unnoticed by many Americans. It was also a bit of a “thumbing of his nose” to all that Chris Kyle stood for and those that chose to honor him.

With this action, Obama also showed callous disregard to another American hero. Obama chose to present former Army staff sergeant, Clinton Romesha, with the Medal of Honor at the exact day and hour that Kyle’s funeral was scheduled.  And no, I don’t think that was coincidental.  I believe it was intentional, I believe it was selfish, and I believe it sent a silent, subtle message to those that were watching. I believe Obama, in effect, “used” this other fine and worthy hero, Clinton Romesha, for his own methods and gain. By this action, he stole something from each of these extremely brave and honored soldiers.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, if you will. But I have seen this type of action far too often from this leader of our declining nation.

Now, don’t get me wrong.  I believe without a doubt Sgt. Romesha deserved to be honored in this manner.  He also deserved his own moment. Due to the President’s past actions and methods, I am simply questioning Obama’s timing. I believe it was a disservice to both Chief Kyle and Sgt Romesha.
