At the Forefront of My Mind

Just a few things that come to mind as I consider what I see on social media this morning. It isn't even an exhaustive list...simply things that are at the forefront of my mind as I type them out.

  • Israel has just been denounced by UNESCO saying they have no right to the Temple Mount. (https://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=2857)
  • Israel is under relentless attack.
  • Our nation is turning our back on Israel, against God's commands.
  • Christians are being tortured and persecuted around the world and the US does nothing.
  • Iran just bombed two of our Navy ships. (http://www.allenbwest.com/allen/forget-groping-fear-may-real-october-surprise)
  • We have a President who allowed it and supported it by making a deal with Iran that only helps radical Islam and gave millions of dollars that ended up in their hands - just as predicted.
  • Russia and China are aligning.
  • Hillary is saying she will limit the 2nd Amendment and do away with the NRA.
  • Abortion is ok at 36 weeks.
  • Illegal's are coming across our borders and voting in our elections.
  • Illegal's are not being sent back because their country won't take them.
  • ISIS has infiltrated Syrian refugees that are coming into our country without being vetted.
  • Hillary Clinton lied to Congress.
  • Hillary Clinton destroyed evidence after receiving a Congressional Subpoena.
  • Hillary Clinton funneled funds from foreign nations to favor her political endeavors and line her own pockets.
  • Hillary Clinton ripped off the people of Haiti through her phony charitable foundation.
  • Hillary Clinton attacked her husband's mistresses as recently as this election cycle! But we attack Trump for his comments against women years ago.
  • Hillary Clinton says there is a "private" Hillary Clinton and a "public" Hillary Clinton and that is ok, because citizens wouldn't understand what she has to say.
  • Hillary Clinton got the rapist of a teenage girl off on rape charges and then laughed about it during an interview.
  • Hillary Clinton has been investigated by the FBI and found to have put national security at risk.
  • Black Lives Matters have subsided their riots already having done their damage, but knowing full well to continue would push more votes in the direction of Donald Trump.
  • Police are still under attack and being killed in our streets.
  • Democrats voted God out of their party platform in 2012.
  • Hillary will allow amnesty which will change the demographics forever - that means a Republican will never win again, because illegal immigrants vote Democratic because of the freebies they allow and for allowing them to stay illegally.
  • We closed our eyes to the mauling and murder of a United States Ambassador in Benghazi and the murder of good men that went in to try to save him. (http://www.kristantoparonto.com/)
  • Unconstitutional Obamacare!
  • Hillary Clinton belittled and used language directed at her Secret Service that is worse than anything Donald Trump ever said.
  • As many as 3 -5 Supreme Court Justices could be appointed by the next President and if it is Hillary those Justices will incorrectly support all of the above!!
  • We watch and laugh at Two Broke Girls; Will and Grace; oh goodness, I don't even know the names of the off-color television comedies that are out now...but someone does!!!
  • We listen to rap music that advocates killing cops; and use language no one should ever have to listen to.
  • We wink at Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus and allow our girls to see them as role models. (http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/limbaugh-michelle-obama-hypocrite-slams/2016/10/13/id/753286/)

But we are upset about a tape from 11 years ago and some allegations that have come forward from as much as 30 years ago which magically come to light right before the election...yeah, that is believable!! But were it true, when does someone on the "right" ever receive grace and credit for a changed heart????

And only NOW our citizens are finally speaking out? But only about language and an 11 year old tape from Donald Trump? And unsupported accusations from women which make no sense after so much time?????? Wouldn't they have brought charges and sued the billionaire at the time???

I kinda wish those that are coming to life (politically) would just go back and stick their heads in the sand where they have been staying for so long.

Unless they are going to educate themselves, yeah that is my deepest wish!!!

Dear Christian,

Suddenly I am reminded of the O.J. Simpson trial. You know! When the liberal left media made a worse crime out of some words said by an LAPD Detective found on a tape from 20 years prior than the actual crime that had taken place. Yeah, that crime; that horrendous murder that caught all of our attention in 1993. The creep that slashed the throat of his wife, leaving her in a pool of blood, while their young daughter and son slept upstairs didn't endure anywhere near the attack from the media that Mark Fuhrman endured when the defense team went after him. But don't worry about that!! Let's convict the police officer on the case because he said the infamous "N" word some 20 years prior when he was a young police officer working on the streets of LA. Despicable name-calling! Now that's horrendous!  No, I am not condoning what he said, but neither do I want to blame someone for something unrelated 20 years earlier! I hope that I will always give someone credit for the possibility of change after 20 years time. The brutal murder almost got lost in the narrative during that debacle of a trial! And O.J. was acquitted.

God help us!! Don't underestimate the change that that trial brought to our nation!

Now once again every one is coming out to distance themselves from the Donald. They don't like what he has said! A tape has suddenly appeared with the Republican candidate saying things no one should ever say and truthfully none of us should have to hear.

The people who are bringing the issue are of course the media, the left, and those in the Republican Party that had, in truth, already been having a problem with their party nominee. These critics of the same party are trying to distance themselves as quickly and as far from Trump as is humanly possible.

I will admit, this is a tough one. I don't want to defend Trump's comments and language either. But it certainly isn't like we have never heard it before. I know; it is indeed despicable!! And Trump was not my choice in the primaries.  My case against Trump was that we want our Presidential candidate to be held to a higher standard than anyone else. And that is perfectly acceptable to desire that! Really a President should be above all the fray! But (and that is a mighty big but) we didn't get that!! The people legally and rightfully chose Trump! And we are left to deal with the results! We are not going to do any good by joining the ranks of those that attack him! There are some things that are more important than vice. And that is saving our nation from the free-fall we have been experiencing the last 8 years; because if we don't, we will experience even greater debauchery, corruption and filth.

Yes, I know it is tough! The first thing that came to my mind after I was over my cringing from watching the video, was "wait a minute! He has just RECENTLY claimed to be a new creature in Christ!" There have been rock solid Christians who have vouched and given testimony to that fact. The video was 11 years ago. When does a person get to rise above his past, and be like every other Christian who claims they have been washed whiter than snow by the blood of Jesus? When does someone get to be done with having his past continually thrown back in his face? Now I don't expect grace to be given from non-believers, or the media. That is just what they are gonna do!! But I certainly DO expect it from believers who claim they are born again and given a new life in Jesus. If they get that freedom and grace, why doesn't Trump? Yet some of these Christians in the political arena who have a platform to speak are the first to bash him, like they are somehow holier and more righteous. Wrong. We have the same Savior who washed the same sin. They seem to relish the fact that they can now say, "SEE I TOLD YOU SO!" That is what is most important to them, it seems.

And what about it Christian? Ever laugh at an off-color joke? Ever take part in locker-room banter? What about the television shows we watch? How in the world did Roseanne, Golden Girls, Friends, Will and Grace, and Two Broke Girls (you get the idea) become so popular? Someone is watching those shows. And someone is allowing them to be shown. None of us have room to talk, except by the blood of Jesus. But we won't allow that for Donald Trump.

I've heard some language from Christians. I listened to some pretty despicable words. I have witnessed the books read and television shows that we, Christians accept. We are not much different anymore, than Trump in the things we participate. We only pretend.

And for the record, I absolutely believe that video was a set-up to trap Trump all those years ago. Someone, in my opinion, wanted to keep the tape on file when it would someday be used to embarrass, humiliate or maybe even black-mail Trump. The hug afterward? Come-on! Someone was ready and prepared with audio and cameras. Think that's far-fetched? I can think of other examples that appeared to be set-ups. David Petraeus, for one. Even the video taped affair of Frank Gifford could have been a set-up to silence the conservative Kathie Lee, in my humble opinion. The media is evil and relentless in whom they want to attack.

Why is this like the O.J. case? Because Hillary Clinton has done far worse things than Donald Trump. Trump didn't leave men to die in a far off foreign land when they pleaded time and time again for help! Trump hasn't lied to Congress (a felony) and destroyed and tampered with evidence! Trump hasn't taken foreign contributions through a phony "charitable" foundation.

Further, Hillary Clinton's comments about women during the Clinton "reign" are every bit as offensive as Trump's. Her attacks on the women that her husband had affairs with and even physically attacked were far more dangerous that Trumps childish "locker-room" conversation. But one would never know that by the way the media is spinning it.

Time and situations change people. When does one get to leave the past behind and become a better person? The white-washed tomb becomes clean if we Christians truly believe what we claim.

Just like the terrible outcome of the O.J. Simpson case, we have once again made the things Trump has said 11 years ago something that is far worse than the things Hillary has done, in her most recent political tenure. That case so many years ago hurt our nation and this will, too. We ALL need to rise above this discourse.

Here's to Mark Fuhrman and everyone else who has been undone by a biased media! He rose above the fray and the media attacks that, at the time, were simply regurgitated by our citizens trying to insinuate he was something he was not. The LAPD detective long ago (and ever since) has proved his fine character. Maybe we should give Trump a chance to do that, too! I am pretty sure the media is not capable of that, but I at least expect it from my fellow Christians.

The Other Side of Interruptions

Well we now have the Vice Presidential debate behind us. It started out poorly. I didn't think I would be able to make it through. I am a political junkie, and I knew if I didn't want to watch it, the majority of the people would not. But being the junkie I am, I decided I would power through.

For starters, the Democratic candidate, Tim Kaine, interrupted over and over and over. I thought about counting his interruptions, but I knew the pundits would indeed count for me and I could find out later. To be exact, there were 72 intrusions by Kaine; in 90 minutes time! Good grief!!

But perhaps what bothered me most was that within the first 10 minutes, Kaine had invoked the Christian "faith" in one manner or another, three times. Now, I don't have a problem with candidates talking about our faith. In fact, I think it is imperative they do. But I want it to be sincere and real. Now perhaps Kaine is sincere about his faith. I am not questioning that. He is Catholic and he is proud of that fact. But it is his party that voted God out of their Democratic platform in 2012 during their national convention.

For their candidate to deliberately invoke this topic when it wasn't even in the parameters of the question is a bit hypocritical, in my mind. And it is a heartbreaking fact that there is far too much in the Democratic platform that is contrary to the Bible and Christian faith  - i.e. abortion and gay marriage for two examples.

But the comments didn't really surprise me. The Democrats have long used this tactic. They absolutely know they must bring up faith to garner votes. In fact, having watched them for some time, I have often seen them use Republican policies and claim them as their own. They are pro-God when needed; they are pro-2nd Amendment only when needed; pro-military and veteran, only as needed. They cloak the abortion issue in a soft, comfortable wrap of pro-choice. "Leave it to the states" is their out. Or, "A woman is intelligent enough to know what is best for her life."

You would think it was a Republican on stage with many of the points the Democrats will try to make. They talk the talk in a debate like this, but their policies when it comes to action are completely the reverse. This isn't the first time this has happened. It is so interesting to me that they do this! They KNOW they must move right in order to get votes. That should tell us a lot about our nation. We are far more conservative than the left and the media pundits would have us believe! They are using the naïveté of our citizens for their own benefit. After they win, they simply move forward with their liberal and destructive policies. Tim Kaine didn't fool everyone, however. He fully revealed who he truly is, in my opinion.

For me, the best part of the debate came toward the end when they were asked about their faith. Both men were gracious and sincere. Mike Pence was especially thoughtful and bold with an honest testimony of his faith; speaking of a personal relationship with Jesus and when he had come to know our Lord as his Savior. Jesus is the reason for his strong convictions which he has not and will not compromise.

Another minor thing I noted, but was important to me, was that whenever a Scripture was spoken, or even a poignant quote from a past leader, the interruptions stopped. It was as if everyone knew this "word" was worth listening to. The importance drew us all to the power of what was being said.

All in all, I am thankful I stuck it out and watched the debate. I believe much was revealed about the character of each man. Truly the best part was in the final moments and if you were one that just couldn't stick it out, as I have heard so many claim, you can watch the most important segment in the video below.

Take it in slowly and listen to the other side of the interruptions....well, almost.

Heads Up from Hal

September 23rd, 2016

No, you're not experiencing deja vu. Yes, you found this message from me in your mailbox last week.

You are receiving it again because last week, due to circumstances beyond our control, the delivery of this scheduled program to our various broadcast partners was interrupted.

So we are presenting that edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report" this week. I thought you should be reminded of what this week's program will cover. So here we go again.

Well, maybe that is just a little deja vu!

ON THIS WEEK'S "HAL LINDSEY REPORT":

The mainstream media barely mentioned it. They're preoccupied with the presidential campaigns.

And besides, the United Nations Security Council has met before in emergency session to discuss North Korea -- and nothing happened. How was the emergency session on September 9 any different?

It's true. North Korea and its weapons testing has been the subject of past UN Security Council meetings. And though official action has been adopted, nothing of any great consequence has ever resulted.

But North Korea's most recent weapons testing is different for a couple of reasons. First, the nuclear devices NK exploded a few days ago were more powerful than anything they've tested before. Probably because the North Koreans claim to have developed hydrogen bombs.

Second, it now appears that North Korea has achieved the capacity -- or will soon have it -- to mount these weapons on ballistic missiles.

This point is critical because earlier in the same week, they also successfully launched three medium-range missiles. Those missiles traveled more than 600 miles. That puts South Korea, Japan, and parts of China within reach.

Maybe that's why China acknowledged that the North Korean tests "shocked the world."

To further complicate matters, just a few weeks ago, North Korea successfully launched submarine-based ballistic missiles. That puts every coastal city in the world at risk.

And even though the left-leaning media tries to imply that North Korea is isolated from the world and poses no real threat, that's simply not true. Iran and NK have been partners in crime since the Iranian Revolution of 1979. And Pakistan furnished the expertise to help NK build the nuclear devices.

Further, The Korea Times is reporting that last May North Korea and Cuba started holding talks to strengthen their friendship.

What does this mean for the United States and the world? Well, North Korea is starving for cash (its people are literally starving), but they have weapons of mass destruction. And thanks to President Obama, Iran is newly flush with cash and desperate for those weapons of mass destruction. That's a marriage made in hell.

But that's just one possibility. Under President Obama's leadership, the world has experienced the worst nuclear proliferation ever. Nations that had never pursued nuclear weapons before are now active customers in the nukes market. Japan and South Korea will probably start their own nuclear weapons programs as a deterrent to North Korea.

Since the west has decided to allow Iran to join the nuclear club soon, other nations in the Middle East are actively shopping for places to purchase nuclear arsenals as a deterrent to the neighborhood bully. We're not just seeing a proliferation of these weapons, but an explosion of them.

You know, this all started back in 1994 when then President Bill Clinton decided to humor North Korea and make his own toothless "nuclear deal" with them. They promptly accepted all the goodies from the US, then reneged on the deal and proceeded to develop their own weapons.

Sound familiar? Foreign policy blunders live on well beyond the President who made them.

But none of this surprises students of Bible prophecy. In several passages, the Bible depicts future events that are eerily (and accurately) descriptive of nuclear warfare.

That's just another way we're seeing the whole world take the shape foretold by the ancient Bible prophets thousands of years ago.

Other interesting things are happening in Asia, as well.

The G-20 Summit was recently held in Hangzhou, China. President Obama attended, along with at least 19 other world leaders. But when he arrived aboard Air Force One, the Chinese hosts didn't bother to lay out the red carpet.

They didn't even roll the mobile stairway up to the door of the President's plane. He was forced to exit the plane by the built-in rear stairwell.

Further, on the tarmac, Chinese officials were rude to high-ranking members of the American delegation and some in the US press contingent.

Not a nice way to treat your largest customer. But China is obviously piqued at the US or at President Obama.

Probably because China wants to claim all of the South China Sea as its own and the rest of the world won't agree to it. Not the rest of the nations in the area. Not the United Nations. Not the World Court at The Hague. And especially not the United States.

In fact, in March President Obama specifically warned Chinese leader Xi Jinping not to build military installations on the Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea, near the Philippines. But they're doing it anyway.

So the United States and its allies have been sending warships into the international waters near China and warplanes to fly close to China's airspace. All in an effort to emphasize that these are international lanes of commerce and China is not going to claim them and control them.

China isn't pleased. And they're not happy about President Obama's so-called "Asia Pivot." That means he sees America's future as aligned less with Europe and the Middle East and more with Asia.

Partly because the markets there are growing so fast. And partly because we want to rein in Asia's growing menace -- China.

Most observers believe that China refuses to stop North Korea from its madcap dash to nuclear capability so that it will continue to keep that part of the world off-balance and in turmoil. That distracts the rest of the world from the ferocious pace of China's drive to hegemony in Asia.

Whatever is really happening there, it is definitely worth watching. China has enormous wealth and technical expertise. China is aggressive and often hostile. And China figures prominently in the Bible prophecies about the "Kings of the East" in the last days.

As does Russia, of course. And it has gotten even more intriguing since my last program. See how quickly things are unfolding in the end-times scenario?

Last week, we learned that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was on the KGB payroll in the 1980s. As was Russian President Vladimir Putin. Abbas's code name was "Mole."

The information was discovered in a British archive of KGB agents from that period. Though the Palestinian Authority is trying to deny it, it makes sense. Abbas headed a Palestinian-Soviet friendship foundation during that time.

And now that the US is turning away from involvement in the Middle East and focusing on Asia, many people are pushing for Russia to become the new broker for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

A Hollywood screenwriter couldn't construct this intricate a plot, but the Bible's ancient prophets did. And they did it thousands of years ago.

Couple this bizarre turn of events with the alarming rise of antisemitism across Europe and into the Middle East and it's undeniable that the pace is quickening.

Recently, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations noted that hatred of Jews and the demonization of Israel has reached "the highest level of our lifetimes."

Again, just as the Bible predicted.

Folks, if you have never accepted the forgiveness of sin that Jesus Christ purchased with His death on the cross, NOW is the time to do it. The race to the end is accelerating as never before. Time is short. It cannot be too long before Jesus will return to snatch away the true believers of this earth. You do not want to be left behind.

This week, I am going to discuss "Redemption" and show you how you can be ransomed and released from the "Certificate of Debt" that hangs outside your cell door. There is only one way out. You must be "redeemed." And only one Man can do it for you.

Slam Dunk

The debate season has started! The television pundits are giving endless commentary. I want to weigh in with a notion I have not yet heard anyone mention.

Regarding Hillary's accusation during the recent debate when she claimed "Trump has paid zero taxes":  For starters, how does Hillary know? She is at the same time blasting him for not releasing his taxes. There is no way she can truthfully make the claim he has paid nothing. It was just another one of her lies that she appears to be so comfortable in spewing.

Secondly, he did NOT say, "I'm smart," when she accused him of paying no taxes. I believe he said "I'd be smart." He later explained that he meant, "That would make me smart." In other words, if that were indeed the case, (that he had paid no taxes) that would make him very smart. Regardless, it was a difficult point to make at the time, because Hillary was still talking. But I believe his post-debate explanation is accurate, because I have heard him say the same thing in the past.

However, I do believe Trump missed the boat with his answer to that nefarious charge. I don't know; maybe he didn't get the chance to explain when it came his turn. He had been placed on the defensive. Maybe the moderator changed the subject. I would have to review the tape to be certain. But to me, his answer should have been fairly simple and extremely important. I think his answer should have been a slam dunk.

He needs to remind America when the tax issue comes up again of one of the best attributes Trump has going for him. "But I have created thousands of jobs for people who HAVE paid taxes." In that regard, I have paid more taxes than most Americans. BUT even more importantly, I have created jobs that have put food on the table, a roof overhead, and paid the electric bill for thousands of families!"

That is the best answer Mr. Trump can give, in my opinion. It will come up again. It is something the left loves to use to attack him. The left doesn't seem to like success.

We have laws created to help businesses succeed. There is nothing wrong with using those laws to aid ones business; rather it is imperative for a flourishing society. Business is the back bone of our society. I thank God for people who have done well enough to create businesses that give people jobs.

Isn't that what Capitalism is about? We are a Capitalistic society, so designed by our Founders, because that is the system that is best for a nation. And in America's case, also best for the world! We are a benevolent society. We have helped more nations than any other nation because of the monetary success of our citizens. The United Nations often blasts America for not giving enough to other nations. That's because they do not understand (or want to admit) that we are a nation that does not believe we should give charity from the government, but rather from the compassion of the private citizen! That is exactly what we do! And indeed! Our government gives plenty, too! The truth is The United States has done more for other nations than any other nation on earth.

 It is Capitalism that allows for us to be a generous society. It is really what our Founders intended. They didn't want the government to be handing out money to citizens. They had learned that that idea didn't work at Jamestown in 1610! So instead they followed the Biblical principal of 2 Thessalonians 3:10: "For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." Our Capitalistic society is based on this verse.

I have no idea what Trump has declared on his taxes in the way of charity; nor does anyone, save Trump and his accountant. But what does that matter anyway? He would simply get blasted for declaring it, with people saying he shouldn't expect to receive a tax break for his giving as rich as he is. He should just give! I absolutely believe that is what we would hear from the liberal left media. Truthfully, I really don't care what he has declared. I have seen a good number of people come forward and give testimony to how he has helped them financially with his generous contributions and support. That's what Capitalism allows!

I am afraid we have raised up a society that simply does not understand our system. We have been engrained in recent years with a socialist mindset that encourages far too many to believe the government should be taking care of us. The government should give us this, the government should take care of that. This mindset is exactly why we are 20 trillion dollars in debt. It has to end. And it has to begin with educating our citizens with the true design of our nation and how Capitalism works.

Mr. Trump needs to learn and grow. We all do. At least he knows it. And I have every confidence he will. He always has.

Thoughts?

My Utmost

Oh my goodness! The conversation is heating up. Tempers are beginning to flare. I don't believe I have ever seen a political party more divided. Everyone wants the same outcome (I think) but no one can agree how to get there.

I am talking about the Trump vs. NeverTrump campaigns to win the White House in November.

Simply speaking, Donald Trump won the nomination fair and square. He participated in the primary process and won - hands down. There were no missteps; no questionable means to get there. No one is arguing that. So truthfully, I don't really know why we are even having this "discussion". It is actually closer to a war than a discussion. And I suspect it will get much worse as the election draws closer.

I have thought about writing about this "war" for some time. But people are so adamant on both sides, I really don't think anyone's mind will be changed. Each side believes what they believe and for both sides, it is a matter of conscience.

For me, it is just so very difficult to understand how the NeverTrumpers fail to see that not voting for Donald Trump will most certainly give us Hillary Clinton. And if they do understand that, why are they ok with that?

I have studied, I have dialogued. I think I have read just about every article that has come out about both stances. No one  from the NeverTrump side has done anything to convince me of their argument. In fact, I feel like I can successfully poke holes in their position. But I am convinced I cannot reach them.

In the last few elections, there has always been a "spoiler" that has come along to destroy and divide the conservative vote. Sometimes the spoiler was successful in aiding the Democrat into office (i.e. Ron Paul and Ross Perot) and sometimes the spoiler was not and Republicans held it together..

Yes, I know. Conservatives generally accept that Ross Perot was a spoiler, but for some, to believe that Ron Paul was a "spoiler" is a tough pill to swallow. However, the truth is the Ron Paul campaign had such support up front, that even though he only garnered about 6% of the vote, it was enough to give us Barack Hussein Obama, both in 2008 and in 2012. How? The early momentum was lost. The beginning momentum to get behind a candidate and thereby influence others to come along side is imperative for a win. In both 2008 and 2012 this was never allowed to occur. And in the end, some of those Paul supporters voted for a third party candidate, and some stayed home. That led to a much higher percentage than the 6 percent that voted for him. Those voters that simply stayed home, was enough to sway both elections in 2008 and 2012.

So. Did we learn from that mistake? Apparently not. Because the NeverTrumpers, are heading down that same path.

"I will stay home." "I will vote 3rd party." "I will NEVER vote for the lesser of two evils!" these "conscience voters" rail against the winner of the primary election. How in the world do they not see that their stance is going to give us Hillary Clinton? And how is their conscience ok with that is what I want to know.

Instead, why aren't we helping Trump find his way? It is our job has citizens to influence and steer elections!

Let me explain here that I am a Christian. The whole reason I participate in politics is to preserve our religious freedom and the nation that I believe our Founders created only by God's design. In my mind, to not participate is to not be a good steward of what God has given us. It is that simple. I vote. I write letters to my congressmen and letters to the editor of my local paper to influence others and do what I believe is the minimum of what God expects us to do.

For starters, let's take "the I will never vote for the lesser of two evils" argument. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"  Jeremiah 17:9 Bottom line: EVERY election is about voting for the lesser of two evils unless Jesus is on the ballot. It is that simple. And we can say this about Trump: at least he understands what difference it makes that 4 men were left to die in Benghazi. Now, in my opinion, that whole incident was evil!

Further, after much discussion and searching, I think I finally figured out why SOME refuse to vote for Trump. It is because they hold a world view that there is another chance to correct all that has gone awry. They hold a different world view. They have a different hope. There are those that believe we are NOT near the end of the world. That the world will get better before Jesus returns and we are here to help make it so. They are "Dominionists" or "Kingdom Now" believers. But I am afraid that belief is NOT Scriptural. Regardless, their world view allows for another chance, rather than seeing this election as crucial. They don't see 4 more years of Obama/Clinton policy as finishing off what our Founders created. I do; and here is why:

Michelle Bachman - former Congresswoman and Senator from Minnesota - explains it all in the video below that I have included. It is a matter of demographics. If Hillary gets elected she will change the demographics of our nation by allowing amnesty and even more illegal immigrants to enter our nation. These immigrants almost without fail vote democratic. They will be obligated to the democratic ticket. The demographics will change so much that we will never have a Republican President again. Please listen. In my opinion, this is probably the most important reason we have for voting for Donald Trump.
http://go.cbn.com/12195

We also have the WWJD argument. What would Jesus do? Who would Jesus vote for?

To me there is a simple answer to that question, as well. He would want us to vote for the candidate that is most aligned with Biblical principals and stances.

Personally, if I didn't vote AGAINST Hillary Clinton, I would be sinning. Because I believe so very strongly that she is out to destroy what God inspired our Founders to construct. Obama very clearly said he wants to fundamentally transform our nation. He has a good start. Hillary wants to continue in this same path. If they want to continue down this road, they are seeking to destroy what God has done - if we truly believe God created out nation. And I do.  I believe what Jesus would require of ALL of US, is to vote for candidates who are aligned most closely with what God expects. I don't know how any Christian can vote for someone who supports abortion. I don't know how any Christian can vote for someone who is against traditional marriage. I don't know how anyone can vote for someone who has betrayed Israel, or who has intentions of betraying Israel. I don't know how any Christian can vote for those whose policies keep poor people in despair or tied down to a government that offers no chance of bettering themselves. It is really that simple. I think Jesus expects us to educate ourselves on Biblical principals and find the candidate most closely aligned with His Word.

There are party platforms, carefully outlined. Those platforms are as different as night and day. If we don't like the candidate, we absolutely must stand for the party platform! We must show and even garner support for that platform that holds us to the higher standard.

Oh and then there is this...(and I apologize in advance if this is a bit harsh, but there are a lot of relevant facts here) From actor Kevin Sorbo's Facebook page:

Kevin Sorbo

"I guess some people need another fact check. What I'm about to tell you are only the facts - historical facts, not rumors, not hearsay just plain undeniable facts.
(This is only a small percentage of a much longer list)
Of the two candidates running for president:
  • Only Hillary Clinton was caught lying to congress.
  • Only Hillary Clinton was fired from a job for being unethical.
  • Only Hillary Clinton ordered the deletion of over 30 thousand emails after she was ordered to hand the server containing them over to the Feds.
  • Only Hillary Clinton got the rapist of a teenage girl off on rape charges and then laughed about it during an interview.
  • Only Hillary Clinton lied to the American people about Benghazi.
  • Only Hillary Clinton lied to the American people about her emails.
  • Only Hillary Clinton lied about being under sniper fire after landing in Bosnia.
  • Only Hillary Clinton lied about actually lying to the American people.
  • Only Hillary Clinton was involved in “Cash Cow “
  • Only Hillary Clinton nationally belittled her husband's sexual harassment (and rape) accusers.
  • Only Hillary Clinton is a career politician.
  • Only Hillary Clinton will not release her speeches to Goldman Sachs and other banks.
  • Only Hillary Clinton is tied to Monsanto.
  • Only Hillary Clinton was labeled “Extremely careless “about national security by the FBI.
  • Only Hillary Clinton said she will raise taxes on the middle class. Surprising right? Watch the speech.
  • Only Hillary Clinton benefited from the DNC rigging an election. Bernie never had a chance.
  • Only Hillary Clinton had to return stolen items from the White House.
  • Only Hillary Clinton said the Benghazi victim's parents were lying.
  • Only Hillary Clinton wants you to vote for her based on her gender.
  • Only Hillary Clinton has been investigated by the FBI and found to have put national security at risk.
  • Only Hillary Clinton made congress and others spend millions and millions of tax dollars having hearings and investigating her to find that she lied, that would not have been spent if she would have simply told the truth in the first place! Fact - all facts!
  • Only Hillary Clinton regularly cussed out and belittled her Secret Service detail.
But you are going to vote for her because.... you don't like Donald Trump? That is insane!
I will never understand how any moral person in good conscience could vote for this woman."
~~~~~~~~~~
I love that Kevin is not afraid to be "political" when in his profession people are punished or ostracized for a conservative stance! Good for him!
As the election draws closer, I suspect the dialogue will become even more harsh. I suspect there will be apathy and disgust; cheating and double-dealing. We are in for a rough couple months, I am afraid. But I saw a quote this morning that really encouraged me. The quote was, in fact, in regard to fighting World War I. But I think it is a truth for every war, every battle we will ever fight. It was written by a young man who died in battle during that war. A journal that held every desire of his heart was found on his possession. It read:
"America must win this war....I will fight cheerfully and do my utmost as if the issue of the whole struggle depended on me alone."  Pvt. Martin Treptow
Oh, if only we ALL had that attitude!
But The Truth Is...
Oh my gosh! How does one NOT respond to this?! This showed up in my newsfeed today, on Facebook. I wasn't really surprised. I know there are those that believe these things. I have been paying attention. That doesn't mean these "truths" are correct. Neither does it mean, there is simply a difference of opinion. Each of these items in the above meme are stated as facts. Simply put, they are either true facts or they are false facts. It really doesn't matter what one believes or what ones' opinion is. One is either right about each of these facts, or one is wrong.
The thing that each of these "facts" have in common (and the only thing) is they are each supposedly about what the government has told us. The "they" pronoun used here is our government, and according to this, "they" are out to get us. "They" are giving us false information, for whatever reason. They don't tell us why. But they allude that it is information to our detriment; therefore, "they" must be out to get us!! Without a doubt, this comes from an anti-government source. Now, in my opinion, we can easily argue certain administrations are more harmful to our nation than others. But this "anti-government suspicion" that is growing in our nation is more than finger-pointing at a particular administration. This anti-government rhetoric that "they are out to get us" is more dangerous than anything else ever will be. Allow me to explain. But first let's go through each of these statements.
~"The sun will give you cancer." Too much sun, does cause skin cancer. This has been a proven fact for years. There is just no two ways about it. But also true, is the fact that "the sun does generate Vitamin D which is good for us." Specifically, Vitamin D is good for bone health. But to say "exposure to the sun will prevent cancer because it generates Vitamin D", is more of a stretch than it is to say "the sun will give you cancer". The sun offers Vitamin D which we all need, but if you spend too much time in the sun, the opposite is true. It is that simple. There is a balance: Everything in moderation. The government is NOT out to get us because they advised to be careful of too much sun. Too much sun can also cause heat stroke. How about that?
~"Sunscreen will protect you from cancer." Certainly, too much sun can cause skin cancer. Not many would argue that. It has occurred over and over and over. But even if it hadn't been such a prevalent outcome of too much time in the sun, putting on a little sunscreen to keep from getting a bad, painful sunburn never killed anyone. Again moderation and common sense. There are no proven statistics that show sunscreen causes cancer. In fact nothing used in moderation has ever been proven to cause cancer. Certainly, chemicals aren't good for anyone, but when monitored and used appropriately, they aren't the monster some would have us believe. As an example, outlawing DDT gave us a different set of problems than for what it was outlawed. This is a prime example of something that was effective when monitored, but brought illness from an onslaught of mosquitoes when taken away. And it was our government that did that.
~"Terrorism is a major threat." Well, yeah, it is! "Al Qaeda is the CIA and your government is the major threat." Oh, gosh. Yes, I know! People actually believe this. Of all the quotes above, this one is the worst. Never mind that this idea was first brought to us by radical leftists trying to sway an election. THINK! People!!! If we do not identify the enemy and call them by name, how will they ever be defeated!! Why would we want to believe our government is behind terrorism rather than believe there are radical Islamist that want to kill us. Yeah! All those bombings and beheading of Christians as well as mutilation of young women is really all about the CIA. God help us. And may I interject here, there is such a thing as "satirical websites" that are literally mocking those that choose to read and believe things as ridiculous as this. These sites are only after the most exposure they can possibly come by. Afterward, they simply say they are a "satirical" website. This claim/disclaimer is presented in order to prevent lawsuits due to their blatant lies. Are there some who truly believe that we should fear our government over radical Islam? Yeah, there are! And they are on the political left. The truth is this idea almost always comes from an anti-colonial attitude about an Imperialistic (in their view) America.
~"Diet products are more healthy." Truthfully, I have never heard this refrain. It is actually usually all about the weight loss being more healthy rather than the diet product being a healthy alternative. But no, I wouldn't touch "diet" anything with a ten-foot pole. There are however, those that need diet products due to medical conditions such as diabetes. They should not be deprived of diet products in moderation, because someone else is afraid of them. If one is diabetic, diet products might be essential to ones' life at certain times. It is up to the individual, however, to learn that some products are worse than others. Aspartame is one that should be avoided by all. Common sense might be helpful. But no...no one is out to get us.
~"Annual mammogram scans will prevent breast cancer." Yes, they will! I am the most surprised that this point is even argued. Mammograms have, in fact, saved countless lives. My mother-in-law being one. No one said anything about demanding an annual mammogram. The truth is, the time frame of recommendation has been adjusted over the years, seeking to protect us from too much radiation. Yes, it is our government that has done that - changing guidelines, periodically, with each new bit of information that is revealed. Please do not be so foolish to believe having a few mammograms in your life is going to give you cancer. The truth is, more often one could save your life!
~"Vaccines will protect you." Argued with, "Most vaccines contain Thimerosal (mercury) and that will kill you..." Oh my goodness, the debate on this one!!!!! Started from a leftist agenda, by the way, (Robert Kennedy, Jr. being one) that basically used this argument to turn citizens against their government. The truth is Thimerosal was removed from vaccines over 10 years ago, due to the debate over this product. That true fact doesn't seem to stop people from using this argument, anyway. The truth is, there is no proof one way or another that vaccines will hurt you. Yes, there are incidents that have had a bad outcome that we can point to, with every medical procedure. NOTHING is ever fool proof. There will always be something that could happen detrimentally when it comes to medicine. That is why we call it "practicing medicine." That doesn't mean we should throw the baby out with the bathwater. Lives, too numerous to mention, have been saved by vaccines. Ever hear of an iron lung? Ever seen one lately? No, I didn't think so. Thank God for the polio vaccine. Know anyone who has had Small Pox, in recent years? NO! Thank God! Let go of your preconceived ideas and do some research. YES! There are SOME unnecessary vaccines. COMMON SENSE goes a long way.
~"Fluoride will protect your teeth." "Fluoride is poison and it will give you cancer....." Oh good grief. If you are worried, DON'T use Fluoride!!! Fluoride certainly isn't a life and death matter. But the government out to get you?? Come on!
Here is a conspiracy theory for you! And something that I think most harmful of all. What if these so called facts are all from a leftist agenda that simply wants to turn you against your government? I am not saying we shouldn't be watchful of those in government; we certainly should!! Neither am I saying that there is no one who is purposely trying to destroy are government, or use certain authority against us. There are some who certainly are! BUT!! If we are that distrustful of our government, most often we will fail to act!! We will buy into the mantra, that "It doesn't do any good anyway." And "The government is too powerful, we can't do anything, anyway." "Why bother?" "The government is out to get us!!! Why should I participate?" What if all these suspicions are all about getting you to hate your government and cause you to become politically inactive?
You don't think that can happen? It absolutely has happened and it started with the Timothy Leary's, Bill Ayers' and the Saul Alinsky's of the 1960's. "Don't trust anyone over 30." "Cops are pigs". "Turn on, tune in, drop out ."And the mantra can go on and on and on with examples. They all hated our government.
Therein lies the real danger. Inactive, distrusting, suspicious, give me an excuse, citizens that lambaste our nation while spreading false facts are what frightens me! Those who don't believe in effecting needed oversight, (while only rarely using change) are the "they" that scare me most. Those that hate our government and thereby our nation are our worst enemy. Al Qaeda is not our CIA. Leftists denying radical Islamists might be. Those trying to get to you "right where you live", with false facts about health and the best way to take care of yourself and your families, might in reality be the explosives waiting for your misstep.
I want truth and nothing but the truth, and I respect myself enough to get it. You should, too. The truth does NOT lie in any one's opinions or suspicions.
Adoptive Son
The saga continues…and what a saga it has been! We are well on our way to choosing our Republican nomination for the Presidency. But in reality, we are not looking very Republican. You know, - "the party of values". Yeah, right. Not so much anymore. We adopted the Donald and everything changed.
Still, we did bring him into our family, albeit unwillingly. If we are to practice what we preach, we must accept him, warts and all. It’s not like we can kick him out; that’s not the American way. He has his rights to run on any party he chooses. It is up to the American people to say Yea or Nay. And we’re smart, aren’t we?
To tell you the truth, I am sick at the whole thing. I actually can’t believe this is where we are.
Now, as I have said in previous posts, I have had a political bent all my life. I very strongly believe it is our responsibility to pay attention and do all we can to maintain the government as our Founders saw fit. I believe God ordained them and that God is behind the dream that is America. We are to be good stewards of all that He gave us - and that includes the gift that is our nation and government. I don't want to even get started on Christians who think Christians should remain a-political. If we don't protect our nation, no one else will.  Rather, some will actively seek to destroy it. Many do not have our citizen's best interests in mind. Politics is nothing more than a tool for good or evil. Make your choice!
Republicans have always been the party of values. We are the conservatives, the protectors of social mores and traditional ethics. I was proud to be a member of this party, though in recent years I cringed at the in-fighting and I was sure the popular new term RINO could only bring divide. I was right. It did. And it is a divide that continues to this day.
But finally this year, I felt like people were beginning to see the importance of getting involved in politics. People were responding, asking the right questions, excited to see the debates, getting to know the candidates. But not for long!!
Merciless personal attacks; vulgarities and playground battle fights; talk of brokered conventions; confrontational speeches by former losing candidates; talking over one another in debates and showing absolutely no respect for each other, or our traditional values has been the norm this election cycle.  Paths to victory have been detoured in a way that will lose us all. Who wants to go there??? Certainly not new recruits who were at long last at least semi-interested in what is taking place. And most assuredly, old timers like myself are growing weary, as well.
None of the candidates are being very wise in my opinion and none of them seem to be thinking of anyone but themselves. My nightmare is Donald Trump (the adopted son) which I will address momentarily. But first, I want to explain what I feel about each candidate that is left in this race.
It seems Rubio has recently proven he is not a leader. Instead, of staying classy, as he has always been, he has joined in the low-blow antics - digressing, instead of rising above the fray.  He is taking us into the mire, instead of lifting us out. He didn't have to follow Trump there; he could have set another example and continued in the vein with which he started. I like Rubio. For myself and many, he is too weak on the immigration issue, but he has been excellent in the debates until his recent decision to go negative. I have come to understand why "the establishment" (for lack of better title) seem to prefer Rubio. If his latest change in tactic is any indication, it appears he is the one willing to follow their bidding. He has taken the wrong path and it is a shame because he is not the RINO many have tried to subscribe to him. He is a strong, conservative Republican, but he has now shown he is not yet a leader.
In my opinion, Kasich has come across as a coward and will do anything to look like "he is the adult in the room". But in reality, he seems to be the one without strong conviction on anything. He went left when he needed a win in New Hampshire, and at other times he stayed silent when he should have spoken his convictions...if there are any. Kasich does have experience and has done good things for Ohio. He understands our national defense and need to support Israel, but I believe he is a little too familiar with compromise. One can find discrepancies in his stance regarding Israel.[1]
I also believe if Kasich were a true patriot, he would have dropped out a long time ago. He has no chance to win, other than a very small possibility if a brokered convention were to take place. For now, he is pulling votes and delegates from the other two candidates that actually do have a chance to win against Trump.
Rubio is past that point now, as well. I believe he too should drop out of the race and that we should start to get behind one candidate if we want to win our party back from Trump. I don't believe Rubio has any chance to win outside of a brokered convention, either. Oh yeah, a brokered convention is legal and within  rights, but it is a really, really stupid and dangerous idea. It ignores the will of the people.
Trump....ahhhh Trump! He is the bully on the playground. He acts like a spoiled, junior high brat going through puberty. If Trump were not in this race, I truly believe this race would have remained civil.  But besides all the vulgarities and inability to discern when crass talk should NOT be used (like EVER during a bid for the Presidency, in my opinion), he has been too hypocritical (think over-seas jobs) and he has flip-flopped on the issues entirely too much. He continually speaks before he thinks. He is new to this conservative stuff, so it doesn't come easy for him. I honestly don't believe conservatism is in his heart. There have been a few too many times that he has had to retract statements after he has come to a better realization and understanding of the facts and the truth. The recent statement that the military will do what he says even if it is illegal, is prime example. At least it was only a day or two before he retracted that one. Good grief! Changing positions can be commendable if one is willing to learn and alter directions, but do we really want a Commander-in-Training? Especially at this time in our history.
Many like Trump, because they believe he can't be bought and that he answers to no one. However, they forget exactly what he CAN buy. Votes, perhaps. A big donation to a Christian organization, for example and naturally that organization would feel compelled to endorse him or support him. That would gain Trump great strides within the conservative movement and dupe people into voting for him if the endorsement came from a trusted organization. I'm not saying that happened. I am saying it could! And if one is comforted by the fact that he can't be bought, perhaps they haven't considered exactly all that he could buy, or considered the opposite side of the coin. If we consider one problem, we must look at the other side, as well.
The candidate I have come to support is Ted Cruz. He has always been toward the top of my list, but he hasn't always been my number one candidate. I cringed and all but scratched him off, when I heard he had voted with Rand Paul against a defense bill (National Defense Authorization Act) that would  increase funding to the military - the only 2 senators to do so![2] This bill also supported Israel's Iron Dome. This is extremely important to me - probably my number one issue. And Cruz voted against this! There were other candidates running that were correct in what they said about our national defense and how it should be supported, I didn't need Cruz with a record like that. But he redeemed himself with an adequate explanation and went further to say where he had gone wrong. It satisfied me. (I do still cringe over this at times, and hope I am not being ignorant in his true stance. I do not want isolationist policies! And I want some one totally supportive of Israel.) Finally Cruz voted with Rubio in March of 2015 on an amendment to increase military spending, though it did not pass.[3]
Cruz also lost me at the fiasco in Iowa when someone said Ben Carson's campaign had been suspended and Carson's votes should go to Cruz. It wasn't true. Cruz apologized as he should have, but the damage was done. I gave Ted the benefit of the doubt, assuming he didn't know the whole situation, but I didn't like it. When other antics occurred on the campaign trail a bit later, for a time I put my support toward Rubio. Cruz fired his campaign manager, Rick Tyler, as well he should, but a sour taste was left in my mouth over the trickery taking place. Tyler, had also worked for Ron Paul on Paul's campaigns. That explained a lot for me. Paul used some rotten tactics, as well. Had Cruz not fired Tyler, I would never have supported him again.  But again I was ready to give him the benefit of the doubt when the only thing we were left with were the childish antics of the other candidates now occurring through out the campaigns. The truth is, there is always going to be a lesser of evils that we may have to chose.  NO one is perfect. That brings me to the group that vows to never vote for Trump.
There are many now who are saying they will NEVER vote for Donald Trump should he win the nomination. To me, these are the most dangerous people of all. They are willing to throw away an election for their pride and self-righteousness. If they have to settle for a man they don 't like, they simply won't vote at all. Real smart! Unfortunately, there are some people in this groups I highly admire and respect. But there are also people I love that have come out and endorsed Trump. I can understand that a bit better, though I don't like it at all. They are angry. They are fed up. They want things changed. They hate the establishment. (Like hating the establishment is ever going to get us anywhere.) But I can understand this group, at least. I will NEVER understand someone that refuses to vote, "on principle". Especially when the other principle lies with Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton. I want to tell these NEVERTRUMP people to come down from their lofty perch, roll up their sleeves and get to work to take one step at a time. Even if it is just a baby step like having to vote for Donald Trump in the general election.
Well there we have this messy, messy election cycle in all its glory. I now feel Ted Cruz is the best candidate going forward. He has come out against the brokered convention which I believe would be an absolute nightmare, and could even throw us into revolution. But Cruz also has the best chance to win against Trump without going into a brokered convention, having won 6 states and only being about 80 delegate votes behind Trump at this time. Ted Cruz is a born again Christian and has always stood for conservative ideas. That is important to me. I vote for him not because he is perfect, but because he is better than the others. And in that regard, he, too, is only the lesser of evils. That is simply the way of life. No perfection this side of Heaven.
And about that adoptive son. I don't want to send him back from whence he came. There are actually some things I kind of like about him. Even some things that are kind of endearing. (Think Dennis the Menace) He simply needs to clean up his act and get rid of his childish ways. He needs to  learn to be Presidential at ALL times and understand the importance of respect. He needs to understand conservative values just a bit better.  It isn't #NEVER TRUMP; but rather, #NOT YET TRUMP. I just want to be sure our new adoptive son gets raised right. And that's going to take some time.
Blinded By Anger
Why Donald Trump? I can answer that in two words: Blinding anger!
There is an incredible blinding anger from the electorate. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it. We are so angry about what has happened to our nation in the last few election cycles that some are letting their anger get in the way of common sense. Everyone is so angry they will choose anyone that doesn't represent someone from the political sphere.
Further, there are many in the electorate that think Trump can't be bought. That is appealing to those who distrust the government and have disdain for those who seem to be career oriented politicians. But they forget, Trump might not be able to be bought, but he can buy anyone or anything he desires and thereby distort the election process in the same way as those who can be bought.
Moment of Silence for Justice Scalia
Donald Trump is not a Christian, and in fact, has at times even mocked Christians and Christianity. He once said he does not need to ask forgiveness. So why there are so many Christians falling for his mantra is a mystery. Why they will settle for his foul language and belligerent, hateful comments is beyond me. Can you imagine having a President where we would have to ask our kids to leave the room when the President of the United States was speaking? That is shameful. Talk about digression.  I believe for a Christian to support Trump, their anger must be so great that it has blinded them to who Trump really is and for what he really stands.
He is not conservative and has never been conservative. He has supported abortion and partial birth abortion in the past. He has given money to liberal Socialist Democrats and the Democrat Party. He bashes President Bush and blames him for 9/11. Really? That right there tells you how he will handle our enemy - "What enemy?" He is arrogant, flippant, and rude. He gives no grounded solutions that contain any actual plans, rather he only spews superficial rhetoric about the things that he thinks he will do.
Now I certainly believe anyone can change. And I love to support those with a sincere desire to become a better person and change behavior accordingly. But we have seen none of this from the Donald. In fact, the opposite is true. The latest debate gives us a clear perspective of who Donald Trump really is and who he has always been. He turned the whole thing into a Democrat's "field of dreams". Remember when your folks told you, one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. That is exactly what happened at this debate. Whereas iron sharpens iron, and makes one better, rottenness rots to the core.
We are all far worse off with Donald Trump entering the political arena. He has turned the entire process into a 3 ring circus filled with debauchery and hate.
Why Christians, Tea Party patriots and conservatives have endorsed Trump is actually pretty simple to figure out. They are enraged with anger and have bought into the lie that our government is evil. Our government is not evil. It is a God-ordained office of which God expects us to be good stewards. Administrations can be evil...and that is with whom we should take our fight. But Donald Trump is not the honorable leader we need to lead us into that battle.
Trump represents the degradation of our society. When we accepted Rosanne Barr in our comedy, it is only natural we would eventually accept someone like Donald Trump in our Presidency.
Wake up America! Especially you, Christian!
2 Chronicles 7:14
